BUILD 2027

BUILD 2027 – Business Upskilling, Innovation, Leadership and Development is an initiative of the Discovery Islands Chamber of Commerce, supported through funding obtained from the Province of British Columbia’s Rural Economic Diversification and Infrastructure Program (REDIP) and developed in partnership with the We Wai Kai Nation.

BUILD is designed to strengthen and support businesses across the Discovery Islands by providing practical opportunities for business upskilling, innovation, leadership and development. The programming will be shaped directly by the results of a needs assessment survey circulated to businesses across the Discovery Islands, ensuring that learning opportunities respond to the priorities, challenges and opportunities identified by the local business community.

The initiative will focus on building skills, strengthening business capacity, supporting local employment, and helping businesses become more resilient and adaptable.

Launching in 2027, BUILD will complement the non-profit capacity-building work undertaken through DIG 2026, creating a broader approach to strengthening the people, organizations and businesses that contribute to the long-term vitality of the Discovery Islands.
